چکیده
Abstract This study evaluated the possibility of producing innovative glass-ceramic foams from zeolite-poor rock (Tokaj, Hungary) using alkali-activation and reactive sintering techniques. The composition morphology samples were studied X-ray diffraction, fluorescence, scanning electron microscope, computed tomography influence various temperatures on was examined. It has been observed that a self-foaming capability. heat treatment temperature affects pore size distribution as well technical characteristics obtained samples. resulting possess moderate thermal conductivity ranging 0.11 to 0.17 W mK −1 good compressive strength (1.5–4.4 MPa). produced might be utilized for insulation, which would have both economic environmental advantages.

Residue powders resulting from cutting and machining operations in slate quarries were processed by a press and sintering route to manufacture ceramic products such as flooring and roofing tiles. The first part of this work consisted of a laboratory study carried out by uniaxially pressing the powders to shape and sintering in air using a muffle type furnace. A plan of sintering experiments was...

ZSM-5- and NaY-coated MCF materials as new acid catalysts for conversion of bulky molecules were prepared by the coating procedure using diluted clear zeolite gel solutions. The resulting materials have high acidity and improved steam stability as compared to that of the corresponding MCF aluminosilica. This could be due to the zeolitic nature and relative hydrophobicity of the mesopore surface.

In this study, production possibility of glass and glass-ceramic produced from granite was investigated. The composition of granite based glass bath mixture was 50 wt% granite, 25 wt% dolomite and 25 wt% sodium carbonate. Composition that was grounded and mixed in a ball mill for 2 h was melted at 1500 ◦C for 1 h. Glass samples were heat treated for crystallization to produce glass-ceramic mate...
